Gates of the Arctic National Park Postcard

This new collection ‘Wish You Were Here: A Collection of Woven National Park Postcards’ explores the beauty of 29 US National Parks in the form of nostalgic, Woven Postcards. Each piece features unique details that bring the Park to life, as well as hand-painted, paper words that are sewn on to create the look of a nostalgic Postcard. 

Made with colorful wool and cotton yarns, as well as Painted Sky’s signature wool roving puffy clouds. The Park names and words were created using mixed media and watercolor paper, and hand painted using watercolor paint. Words are sewn on using Sulky invisible thread. Handmade, one-of-a-kind.

Square 9” dowel rods are sewn to the top and bottom of the piece, and the weaving is approximately 8.5” x 5.5”.
